What time is check in?

Our pick up and drop off times (reception hours) are between 9:00 – 11:00am and 2:30 – 4:30pm

Special arrangements can be made with the receptionist upon booking.

Can I see where my pet is staying?

We encourage inspection of our kennels and cattery.  Please call and make an appointment time prior to your pets stay.

If my pet becomes unwell during its stay what happens then?

We will endeavour to contact you, however if we cannot contact yourself or your emergency contact your pet will be seen by Central Highlands Veterinary Clinic our 24 hour Vet on call.

Do you provide Transport?

Unfortunately, we do not provide transport unless under emergency situations.

What types of payment do you take?

We accept all major credit cards except Diners and American Express.  Eftpos and of course Cash.

What will my dog be doing all day?

Our day starts around 8:00am with a small walk then your pet is put into a play group.

Our play groups are carefully matched by temperament size and energy level. Our play yards are equipped with tunnels, under covered shade clothed areas, lounge chairs, toys and paddle pools during the summer.

However, if your dogs does not like to play with other dogs they are given a longer walk or a play yard on their own. They return to their rooms around 11:00am for a truly deserved rest.

Dinner is served at approximately 4:30pm and lights out at 7:00pm.

How big are the bedrooms for dogs?

We offer single and double accommodation.

The average size is 3 meters by 5 metres. Some rooms are larger. However be assured they do not spend all day in these rooms.

Your pet will not be sharing a room with any other pet unless it is from the same family.

How much contact will my dog have with people?

Our facilities are staffed all day and our manager lives on site.

There is someone on the premises at all times. Playtime is monitored.

What will my dog eat?

Food is provided – The dogs are fed once daily unless they are young adults then they are fed twice daily.

We can accommodate your dog with prescription diet or special diets provided by the owner.

The dogs are fed Euknuba Premium Performance Dry Biscuits. For the fussy eaters, we provide an option of chicken mince, roll or canned dog food.

Will my dog get walked?

They have a small walk however most of the exercise is during play time.

Which Vaccination does my dog need?

All dogs boarding need a C5 vaccination that is current throughout the duration of their stay.

On arrival the receptionist will want to site your pet’s current vaccination. Please remember to bring your current vaccination certificate with you.

Vaccinations are given by your Veterinarian. First time vaccination must be at least 10 days old prior to their stay at the Kennels.

Should I bring my dog’s bedding or toys?

We provide all bedding and toys but if your dog has a special toy or bed he cannot live without, of course he/she can bring it. Whatever makes your pets happy.

What if my dog is taking medication?

All staff are trained to administer medication. The medication must be clearly labelled with their name, what it is for and how often it is to be given. This is done at no extra cost.

How big are the rooms for cats?

Our cattery is set up on two levels.

The top level: Your cat is provided with a clean comfy bed, food and fresh water.

Lower level: is the toilet.  There is a cat door into individual outdoor areas where they can watch the birds , sleep on a chair or stretch out on the scratching poles.

What will my cat eat?

Cats are fed Supercoat chicken dry food and if they prefer wet food we also have a variety of wet cat food. We can accommodate your cat with prescription diets or special diets provided by the owner.

Will my cat be on its own?

Yes, we never mix cats, however if you have two cats from the same family we can accommodate them in our deluxe family pens.

Should I bring my cat’s bedding or toys?
